Every story matters.
Whether your experience is joyful, heartbreaking, complicated, inspiring, or deeply personal, we believe every voice has value. A few guidelines help us keep this a safe, meaningful space for everyone.
Be Honest
The most powerful stories are genuine. Write in your own words and share your experience as truthfully as you remember it. Your story does not need to be perfect, dramatic, or beautifully written — authenticity matters far more than flawless grammar.
Every confession, lesson, memory, and life experience has the potential to resonate with someone else.
Protect Your Privacy
Your safety comes first. Please do not include information that could identify you or another person, including but not limited to:
If necessary, our editorial team may edit or remove identifying details before publication.
Respect Others
Stories may involve difficult people and painful experiences, but they should never be used to harass, threaten, or intentionally harm others. We do not publish content that includes:
Our goal is understanding — not hostility.
Sensitive Topics
We understand that many submissions involve trauma, addiction, abuse, grief, mental health struggles, family conflict, relationships, and personal loss. These stories are welcome when shared respectfully and responsibly.
However, content that is excessively graphic, promotes violence, encourages self-harm, glorifies criminal behavior, or creates an unreasonable risk of harm may be declined or edited before publication.
Stories involving sex, intimacy, desire, and adult relationships are welcome when they are shared as part of a genuine human experience. Explicit content written primarily for sexual stimulation, rather than storytelling, may be declined or edited before publication.

Our Mission
I Never Told Anyone is more than a collection of anonymous stories. It is a place built on empathy, dignity, and the belief that sharing our experiences can help others feel understood.
Every published story represents courage. Every reader is reminded that behind every stranger is a life they cannot see. Together, we are creating a timeless archive of the stories people have carried in silence for far too long.
The strength of our community is not measured by the number of stories we publish, but by the respect we show every person who trusts us with theirs.
